Chris Tromp
Chris Tromp was born in Cape Town in 1973 where his family still live. Educated at SACS he has grown up in the Cape and would not move for the world. Chris is an extremely well qualified and competent guide and knows South Africa like the back of his hand. To add to a diploma in Marketing and and Sports Management, Chris is a registered SA tour guide, has a 40 mile Skippers Ticket ( for those keen on the sea and fishing ) and also spent time in the military where he was an Infantry Lieutenant

After leaving the army, initially Chris spent two years with the Mt Nelson Hotel where he was involved in the travel desk, tour guiding, chauffeuring and also security. Hereafter Chris spent a year with the well known Jonkershuis Restaurant, marketing and running tour packages. This based him on the Cnoot Constantia Wine Estate, as such he is an expert on the grape and loves leading trips around the wine lands of the Cape! Three years of freelance tour guiding in South Africa are added to this and he has taken a number of sporting tours around the country with interests as varied as rugby to golf.

In his free time Chris enjoys a round of golf, a good fishing trip either off the coast or inland and he quietly admits to being a bit of an adrenalin junkie. Clients love Chris on safari, his stories, sense of humor and superb knowledge make him a wonderfid and entertaining companion.
